Loft Conversion on Garrick Close, SW18, Wandsworth
Our clients required additional space in their home, and a bedroom and bathroom loft conversion seemed like the ideal way to improve the value of their house while extending the living space.
After assessing the property and discussing their requirements, we recommended that they opt for a Velux loft conversion. While Garrick Close isn’t within Wandsworth’s conservation area, it is extremely close and the character areas have been expanding – our clients did not want to alter the exterior of their home, but wanted to ensure that the new rooms gained plenty of natural light. A conventional Velux loft conversion was the perfect choice – the external changes are minimal, while upwards-facing windows let in more light than conventional outwards-facing alternatives.
The clients preferred to manage some of the decoration and purchasing themselves, so while we completed the 2nd fit of electricals and plumbing ourselves, they supplied the bathroom suite for us to fit. The loft conversion was completed to be ready for their decorators, and the building inspection was approved promptly.
The conversion took 6 weeks to complete, as per the schedule. The clients were delighted with the work and the customer service throughout the loft conversion build.
