Will I need Planning Permission in Clapham/Wandsworth/Fulham/Wimbledon…?

While there are some areas that will definitely require planning permission (such as the area around Clapham Common), it’s best to get in touch so that we can check your address and discuss what type of loft conversion you would like to provide a firm answer. Whether you require planning permission depends on a number of factors including the loft conversion type (eg. Velux loft conversion rarely require permission, whereas Mansard conversions almost always do), your area, and whether you have already developed your home.

How long does a loft conversion take?

On average, loft conversions take 6-12 weeks. The actual duration for your project depends on the type of loft conversion, materials used, number of windows, whether you require plumbing for the loft conversion, and the interior design. As part of the process, we will provide a detailed schedule for you and keep you updated if there are any unforeseen delays to the work.


Will the building work disrupt our day to day lives?

We have over a decade of experience, and have created our process to keep disruption to an absolute minimum. We enter the house via scaffolding on the roof for the majority of the build, so we will only need access to the interior of your home towards completion of the project. 90% of our work comes from referrals, and clients often comment on how stress-free the process really is.

Will a loft conversion add value to our home?

Loft conversions can add up to a fifth onto the value of your home and ensure that the house sells quickly when it goes on the market. Bedroom and bathrooms are a particularly good investment.
